Voter Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age on or before Election Day;
  • Be a U.S. citizen;
  • Be a resident of Nevada for 30 days preceding any election;
  • Have your rights restored if you were convicted of a felony; and
  • Not have been declared by a court to be mentally incompetent.

Register to Vote

ONLINE VOTER REGISTRATION

Online voter registration is now available for residents of all Nevada counties. Eligible voters can register to vote and update their voter registration information online, including change of address and party affiliation. A DMV issued Driver's License or ID is required.

Voter Registration Form

All counties now offer online registration but if you prefer to register using the Fillable Voter Registration Form, click this link to access the Secretary of State's Online Fillable Voter Registration Form http://www.nvsos.gov/SOSVoterRegForm/VoterForm.aspx

and follow three simple steps:

Print the form.
Fill out the form legibly and don't forget to sign it.
Mail or Deliver in person the form to the county clerk or registrar of voters in your county. click this link to find your county clerk:

Other Options for Registering to Vote

You may register to vote at any NV Department of Motor Vehicles office, at your county clerk or registrar of voters' office, at various social service agencies, and on college campuses.

Changes to Current Registration

If you've moved, changed your name, want to change party affiliation, or otherwise have to update your voter registration status, you must submit another voter application form.
